After 16 seasons leading the Northampton Area High School Varsity Baseball program, Head Coach Mick Sugra has decided to step down.

Since taking over in 2011, Coach Sugra compiled an impressive 187–140 career record, highlighted by the 2019 EPC Championship, 14 District XI Tournament appearances, and seven EPC Tournament appearances.

Beyond the wins and accomplishments, Coach Sugra’s impact on Northampton Baseball extends far beyond the field. Throughout his tenure, he emphasized five principles that defined the Image of a Konkrete Kid Baseball Player:

• Do Your Best

• Do What Is Right

• Treat Others How You Would Like to Be Treated

• Be Humble

• Make No Excuses

These values helped shape countless student-athletes, teaching lessons in character, accountability, respect, and teamwork that will carry with them long after their playing careers. Through it all, Coach Sugra’s love and commitment to his family have remained an important part of who he is, both on and off the field.

We sincerely thank Coach Sugra for his 16 years of dedication, leadership, and commitment to our players, coaching staff, and the entire Northampton community. His contributions to the program and the traditions he helped build will continue to leave a lasting impact for years to come.

Thank you, Coach Sugra, for everything you have done for Northampton Baseball!

The Northampton Konkrete Kids traveled to Orlando, Florida, this spring to participate in the KSA Events Spring Training experience, where they competed against strong teams while building team chemistry and creating lasting memories. From early practices to game-time under the Florida sun, the trip provided valuable growth both on and off the field. We are incredibly grateful to our families, booster club, and coaches for making this opportunity possible, and we’re excited to carry the momentum from Orlando into the rest of our season.
